On completion of his studies at the Beaux Arts, Claude Juillard takes a different turn, embracing the hair styling profession and thus giving women the benefit of his many artistic talents. He quickly finds that the training in hair styling he has received has at least two flaws : the effect of a cut or a colour on the face is not being explained to the students and they are taught to approach customers in a way that prevents people from expressing their true wishes.
