Claude Juillard invents a new concept of visagism, adapted for hair stylists and opticians...

Thus Claude Juillard creates the visagism method of Visagisme Total Look® and in 1991 he sets out his own registered trademarks :

  Gestuelle Intuitive ® Gestures express personality and desires better than words. Claude Juillard highlighted the interest for the professional in observing a customer’s gestures. Intuitive gestures provide nonverbal language for beauty salons in the 21st century.

  Services Partiels Personalisés ® Each customer is unique and has a right to expect a personalised service from the professionals. If the customer wants just a little bit of volume here or a strand of colour there, then it is a waste of time suggesting a complete permanent or a full colouring. Personalised Partial Services provide the answer for many customers.

  Morphicolor ®

A training course for all hair stylists.

His method, based on respect and on the recognition of each individual’s personality, is adapted to a special training course.

The Fédération de la Coiffure (French hair styling federation) and Oreal Professionnel discover him and begin organising courses throughout France.

His reputation as an entertainer puts him on stage regularly in front of hundreds of people at special shows held during trade fairs such as the Mondial Coiffure Beauté (International Hair styling and Beauty Fair).

A concept, which is easily exportable

At the beginning of the 1990s, he begins to receive invitations to Greece, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium...

He travels to many European countries, always to present his methods at major hair-styling events and to train hair stylists abroad. Very quickly and increasingly, thanks to Oreal International, he begins to travel further afield (Korea, Japan, Turkey, Russia).

He is no longer presenting small-scale training courses but "major events" in front of thousands of people. Moreover, the enthusiasm of his hair stylist audience continues to grow.

Optic and cosmetic surgery

At the end of the 1990s, Claude Juillard begins a new adventure ; his method starts being applied by opticians.

Grand Optical asks him to train his teams who will then use the visagism concept to advise on frame choice. This is so successful that Claude Juillard begins animating the opening days of new Grand Optical outlets in 2000.

At the same time, cosmetic surgeons begin taking an interest in the Method and discuss the concept at their congress of cosmetic surgeons held in Brussels in the year 2000.

The three-dimensional mirror

The three-dimensional mirror, an innovation supported by ANVAR. Patent N° 9404772 The three-dimensional mirror is the visagist’s tool enabling him or her finally to communicate with the customer. The customer sees himself as the professional sees him, in perspective and not as a one-dimensional flat and lifeless image which is the reflection offered by the classic, ordinary mirror.

Publication of the book "Formes et Couleurs" in 1999 In collaboration with Brigitte Gautier Solar Publications Tests, explanations and many illustrations allow the reader to discover the symbolic shape and the colours that correspond to his personal style. Armed with this information the reader can then find the professional, hair stylist or visagist who will meet his new expectations. The reader will also see how this method, the Méthode C. A label C.Juillard ®

Hair stylists trained in the method now want to display their allegiance : on 22 March 2001 the first C. Juillard Partner salons are officially established in Switzerland. France is following suit and the label for French hair stylists is in preparation.
